17" tire options???

I need to purchase 5 whitewall tires for my 34 Ford. The size needed is
5:25/5:50X17. I know that Lester makes a 3 3/4 inch wide whitewall. And Coker offers a "Firestone" brand 3 inch wide whitewall.

The questions are: Are there other manufacturers that offer whitewalls to fit my car? What brand/supplier would you recommend and why?

Thanks for your help.

Hi all; If a Judged car; there was some standard change by the Early Ford V8 club about double white walls for certain yrs that is WW walls mandatory not W walls. A bunch of fellows had to change for judging, I remember. Comments welcome. Newc

Going back to the first post in this thread----------What options are there?
I checked with Diamond Back. They do not make any tires for early Fords.
Any help will be appreciated.--Daryl

Please re-read the first post. Lester and Coker make WW tires. What other options are there? Who makes the best WW tires for a 34 Ford????? Why should I use Lester? Why Coker? Who else & why?

For what you are looking for, if Coker doesn't have them, I don't think anyone else will.

Universal Tire Company has Lesters and Firestones in blackwall and whitewall. I have Lesters on my 33 - they are good quality and have lasted well, but they don't look as nice as the Firestones. Somehow they look like front tires on a tractor.

little by little coker has been buying up all the old molds. thats why prices have jumped the last few years. soon, they will be the only game in town

I thought Universal Tire was owned by Coker?
