160B Slant Window Windwings

I don't know how to post pictures, I have windwings on my Slant..... NO HOLES drilled anyplace. Send me your e-mail and I will forward them to you. You can post pictures on Ford Barn if you wish. Howard

Re: 160C DLX Slant Window Windwings ANGLES???

S/W's require a special bracket that allows you to pivot it so the lead edge of the glass follows the slanted window column on the door. The glass should also be cut as a parallelogram so the top edge follows the roof line
.
Question PLEASE on the angle that the Wind Wings go onto the Door BASED on your statement above, Here is an image of my SW door and Windshield, I have indicated in RED what is square to the door and in BLUE what follows the angle of the SW column door. IF i follow the angle of the door, the bracket from A&L which is the standard bracket will be an angle and sit at the very bottom & very top of the door. IF I use the square (red) the bracket at bottom and TOP is center AND LEVEL with the TOP of the door. I have also added a pic of an original SW Vicky which does show the Glass Square to the door as indicated in RED.
Is there a correct way or NOT....I have gone over this feed carefully and what is said does not seem to correspond to the pictures that are here. Any help is appreciated on this as i am ready to install except for this issue..
Thanks all for your help so far. Mark:cool:

If you use the clamp style shown above....check them often (tighten them up). I had a set on my 400-A for a few years until one came loose and fell onto the street. Before I could retrive it a big truck ran over it !! what I retrived was junk!!

Thank you Paul, did the etching myself...They are a bit complicated on the SW, but i love them and i like the mirror there rather than on the hinge.

I would avoid drilling holes. My 68c had a mirror on the drivers side door post and it caused the door post skin to rust out. I now have to build a new part to replace it. I'll live with the noise. Norm
