16 inch wheels?

I stumbled upon Rally America's web site when I was looking for sources for wires for my 29. I didn't use them but they have an interesting web site. They are manufacturers of wire wheels and also refurbish and custom widen original equipment wires. Someone may have some feed back on them. Here's a link if you want to check them out. Tim

those are nice looking wheels, but I don't think they fit on the A because of the drums.

Rallyamerica would have the final answer but I bet they just need the same spacer that is required to run the 16 inch solid rims on the mechanical brakes.

Hey 1929,
I'm a wheel guy,
Here's a set in Cranston RI, on CL.
They look really good, and usually you can
offer a little less and still buy them.
They have brand new tires.
I can't get up there any time soon and
why not help a fellow BARNER?
Good luck,
Tony

Click on the links for used. They sell Ford 16" wires and will refurbish them. Also check out some of the other links and you will see upgraded vintage Cadillac wires they have done that have original centers and that have been upgraded with safety rims for radial tires. Tim

plenty of nice used ones out there 29-dont have to buy "new ones" unless that is your preference.............

No problem. As Ronn says there are some nice used ones out there. It took me a while to put a set together. You have to be patient and it takes a while to figure out what problems to look for when you're shopping on line or looking in person. I prefer buying unmounted rims since they are easier to assess condition wise. I bought a pair with tires from a really nice guy that bought them from the estate of a friend. They had good tires and they appeared to be clean and straight but when I dismounted them to paint them one was paper thin on the inside of the rim in spots and the bead of one of the tires was damaged. Just the way it goes sometimes. Good hunting Tim
