When using 1935 Ford 16 inch wheels, they measure 5 inches across outside edge to outside edge, on a 1930 coupe, what size radial tires work well and can smaller tires be used on the front than the rear

yes you can run "bigs & littles" . size is up to you . check your final gear ratio on tire size or youll be doing 30mph ............... steve

Heres my beater pickup with 16" wheels. Maybe hard to see in the picture but they are 700x16 rear and 600x16 front.

Remember to order the adaptor rings so the wheels fit the hubs/drums properly.

The adapter rings are only required when runnning the wire wheels on the later hydraulic brake drums (and a different adapter ring is required when running the later solid wheels on the earlier drums). How did you know he had hydraulic brakes?

I dont have hydraulic brakes was planning on using radial tires, does anyone have a suggestion on size for front and rear I assume the rear should be close to the original 19 inch wheels and tires which is around 30.

Coker classic radials, 6.00 front,6.50 rear. 6.50 is 29.25" ,very close to 19"

29.75 and is not much bigger looking than fronts. Find front wheels with not more than .035" or so runout.

I am using the wires on my sedan and am running regular radials, or a slight Big/Little. I have 215/70-16 on the front and 215/75-16 on the rear. The 75's are a little harder to find but I like the look. I just measured the height of them and the 70's are 27" and the 75's are just over 28".
If you like I can post a picture of it but I'll have to find it somewhere on this computer.

Are there any worries to the different rim lip between bias and radial tires without tubes?
