Does anyone have or know where i can find some single pin contact magneto head light bulbs? I have a friend who had an accident and needs one...i hate to dissapoint him and not find one.the car is SO nice and deserves the "correct" bulb...
Yep.but this car has the single contact, single wire set up.he was pulling the car after it died(for what reason it died i do not know) and it rolled into the tow vehicle.
I dont want to change it since it is VERY original.
With single pin you would have to find at swap meets old style Madza type bulbs to match what is blown. Otherwise find a pair of new lamps that meet 9v-12v with 18-21W, and have the single pin base. The site below has some of these bulbs. Good luck.
Sounds like someone at sometime decided to get rid of the bulbs being wired in parallel and wire each bulb separate. If you are looking for a single contact larger bulb with the *** on it, that may take some searching. The double contact larger magneto bulbs are out there but good working ones are far in between. The base is the easy part, it's the correct globe that is the hard part. The globe on the magneto bulb is much larger then even your standard head light bulb used in the later Model T and A.
