15/16 Rear Axle Nut Thread Pitch

I've been wondering around the garage, stirring up dust and pissing off spiders, looking for an axle. Does anyone know the thread pitch on the 15/16 rear axle nut?

Yea the vendors show 5/8 - 18

The original rear axel nut is 5/8-18 , however, it is a special hardened nut. If you use a regular 5/8-18 nut and try to torque to 80-90 lbs. you could ruin the threads on the axel.

Yes it is a hardened nut, is the nut you buy from the vendor's a hardened nut to specifications?

I do not know if the venders sell a hardened axel nut ? I have always used or located original nuts so I do not have to worry about screwing up an axel.

It is a good question, wonder if someone else might know the answer ?
