12V Heated Seat Cushion

I purchased a pair of 12v seat warmers for my Jeep that were installed UNDER the stock set upholstery. Great on cold mornings. Be sure and wire through the ignition as I didn't and ran down the battery several times when I left them on!

Every one I've seen is priced at $89.95 each from the aftermarket catalog houses.

In the early 70's I bought a seat cushion that was non electric, but it sure felt warm. I'm not sure what happened to it and it may have gone with the car when I sold it. I don't know what it was made from, but as soon as you sat on it it felt warm. I haven't heard of anything like it since, but it would sure come in handy in Minnesota, especially when I'm sitting on the cold steel seat of my Cub Cadet blowing snow. :)

Dont you.....
I bought one back in time and after some days (!) it was
short-circuit ( definite my fault as i moved that thing while
entering the car and sitting on it ).
Plug did melt out of the 12DC outlet during a night drive!
I smelled "something", tried to take the plug out and
touched into the fused/molten plastic-plug)
Autsch - I burned my fingers badly

Only way to go is a device installed UNDER the stock set upholstery

I had one in '76. They are toasty, and do the job. I found it at one of the truck
stop stores for about 40 bucks------of course that was many years ago.
