I purchased a 51 F1 which was converted to 12 volt. All the lights are good but the dash instruments are not hooked up. It this an easy fix?

If they are 6v gauges all you need is reducers, 12v to 6v. I just installed 1 little device that does 3 gauges together, you don't have to separate, and remove the copper bridge between gauges, like the Runtz.

You can use the one Ford used, it's a little silver can on the back of any Ford gauge panel from '57 to well into the 70s. Called a constant voltage regulator, CVR, or IVR, you can get one from NAPA for a '67 Mustang, for instance, 12V in and 6V average to the gauges and grounded to the back of the panel, it's just a bimetal set of points, self contained heat (unaffected by ambient) works just right for any King-Seeley gauges. ..B.

I got it from Vintage ford parts, on Ebay, here's a picture!
