That's the one that Brattons recomends 18 tooth . When I changed mine in the truck from 3.78 to 3.54 it had an 18 tooth one in it . So I am as confused as you are !!!
Have you managed to rebuild your old axle allready ? or did you put that hot rod one in there for now?
Did you replace the bearings , races and seals ? It must have been preety loose in there to knock a few teeth off !!
