1050 Ford Speedometer Core Cable

The core cable on my 1950 Ford w/overdrive looks like a coil spring and is 79 7/8" long. I looked for a core cable on ebay and it looks more like a BX electrical cable, the spirals are wider than the coil spring. Which is correct, the coil spring or the BX looking one?

Check your local auto parts supply for universal cable core kit that you cut to length.

2x 51 Merc, My best luck was instead of crimping the end on, solder it on, works great

you can get new ones at G&G Ford Parts and through Shoebox-Central.....

I got mine from one of the suppliers, maybe Mac’s. Lube the new one good when replace it.... Mark
