10 inch clutch problem

Men

Rebuilt flathead back in with new 10 inch clutch as before. New clutch fouls ****** housing as slightly different casting.

I think I can spacer out between ****** and bell housing anyone done that?

Thanks for helping.

Dave

Need more info. What year engine? What year trans? What year flywheel? The impossible I do every day but miracles take a little longer. Walt

It's a French block, 32 ****** casing and mixter maxter internals.

Long and short it's coming out and will fit a 9 inch clutch and new flywheel.

Thanks for helping.

You might want to have Fort Wayne Clutch build you a beafed up 9" clutch. The 9" clutch can be a little weak in its stock condition and slip behind a warmed up flathead. I know from experience.Changing a Ford clutch is not easy.JMO Phil

The 32-34 trans has a shallow bell and usually a bigger than stock 9in. pressure will rub. I use 9in. clutches in about all my engines, They are lighter and on performance engines I have stronger springs put in the pressure plate. I have all my clutch and PP made at Wayne Indiana 1-800-258-8243 Talk to Kerry or Scott. Walt
