.10 - .10 - .10?

.045" was a common OS on Ford factory rebuilds in the 40,s.The factory rebuild tags back then had the words rods, mains, cyls with the OS OR US stamped in space provided.-At least on CDN blocks.

Could it be that it means that the heads were cut .010? I know they usually mark that on the head, not the block.

If this is to be taken seriously [ hard when the dimensions are .10 - not .010 ] as bearings in .10 oversize may be hard to find . That said here are some things to ponder ; decks cut , line bored so the crank is up , bored to accept thick sleeves . Now the deck cutting  and the bore for thick cast sleeves are maybe a possibility in .10 but the line bore isn't really practical in .10 up . Also I have NOS 21 stud flattop pistons that say FORD in large script on them that are .015 os . Never heard of .10 or .010 for that matter . Also I have a block with an old rebuild tag with bore .040 , mains .010 , rods .020 - .008 . This is a 34 block - not a 59 but it does indeed have 4 dimensions .
