I think it's a good idea. The bigger models have unique issues not encountered in the small trucks. Might be good to widen the range of model years covered. Stu
I think a 1ton and larger group would be a good idea. There are a lot things unique to the larger trucks and there seems to be a lot more parts and assembly inconsistency between assembly plants than with the cars and smaller trucks. I have a 1949 F4 (1ton) that I am currently working on.

panelmark, I also have a 41 1 1/2ton, ex army firetruck (4800miles) and a 1951 1 1/2 ton ex-army truck, in addtion I also have a 41 3/4 ton stake bed truck, same cab/frame as a 1 1/2ton- I would definitly be interested in a big truck site
Thanks guys, I agree those other forums are a good additional source for those with big trucks. Sounds like The Fordbarn would be a good place for a large truck group also. I don't know how to set it up here, any assistance on this would be appreciated.
I have a 47 tonner and I would agree that a special group here could be nice at times. With that said, most questions are engine related and span all the models.
Sorry if my question/statement on other forums vs a subgroup on this one was seen as a criticism; good info on other forums for sure. My point was the other truck subgroup I've tried on Ford Barn (best of the forums, IMO) doesn't seem to get much traffic. I'd like to see one on Ford Barn for big trucks, especially if we used it..........I'm trying to figure out how and if to use some big truck parts, for instance, and people on the general forum have been helpful. Would be nice to go directly to the big truck owners also.
This is just my personal opinion, but I never visit any groups. If all the tonner - up stuff was not in the main forum I would never be able to learn anything about them. The Barn isn't so fast moving that posts get lost with the traffic. There are lots of people here with all sorts of knowledge and they may not currently have one of those bigger trucks so wouldn't check the sub group.
Just keep posting on the main forum, I say, loud and proud.
