1935 Ford wheels, will they fit in spare wheel wells

They will fit if you will loosen the arm nut at the frame which will make it easier to adjust the angle of the arm which is different for the 19" and 16". Do not tighten th arm nut until tire and wheel is in the well. Also the air pressure should be at about 20 lb. I have used this method for...

How to fix pitted wheels ?

This is just a suggestion on what i have done unless they are totally unusable. Buy a roll of a heavy duty duct tape. Line the wheel in several layers of the tape and install tube and tire. I have used this easy fix for years with no problems.

28 naugahyde spare tire cover question

One of the items we tend to forget is that different brands of tires are not all the same height or diameter. I have found this to be true so it may be a part of the problem. Firestones are the larger ones and the covers generally fit well and tight.

    aluminum fan...Q

Just a comment on the original 4 blade fans. I have had 3 that have had cracks and ready to come apart at any time. I will not use any original 2 blade or 4 blade for driving any of my A's. Use a repro aluminum or a plastic fan. I have sold several 2 and 4 blade fans at swap meets and have...

    Oil change

Here in AZ we have some very warm summers. The 10W/30 is too light to use here even in our winter. I use 15W40 Diesel. Some club members have had problems even with good engines using too light an oil and also using non detergent oil which forms excessive sludge. I have also used 20W50 and...

When do you discard your innertubes?

Good tubes are hard to find. Most come from the Orient and a lot of them are junk. A few months ago I bought new 16" tubes from Berts in Denver. Made in USA. The best I've seen for years. They are still available if you ask for the ones made in USA. BILAZ

    New 21" Goodyear Tire

I Know this is in reference to the 28-29 fenderwells which I haven't had a lot of experience with as I have the 30-31 style. On the 30-31, remove the cotter key from the main arm back of the cross member. loosen the castle nut so you can move the main arm, also loosen the plate nut on the arm...
