I was in error on the model of the car. It is just the Lincoln L Series. In that case you have confirmed what I suspected. The only place the VIN (Serial) number appears on the right front body hinge pillar. Hopefully the shop manual will be enough for the DMV.

Thanks for the help on this ... did you find this info in the shop manual or some other source? I have the shop manual to show the DMV but if I can have additional sources that would be great.

Thanks for the reply on this. As of yet have not been able to find the Serial number anywhere else but behind the right hand front body hinge pillar. Hopefully the DMV will accept the shop manual which shows that there is only one. I have another question for you regarding converting from drum...

The state of California requires 2 VIN Number locations (Serial in this case) and I can only find one Patent plate located on the right side of the cowl right behind the right hand front body hinge pillar. The Body plate is locate right above it. Is there anyone in this forum who can help me...
