    Words of wisdom

I had a local glass man install mine in my 48. Rubber goes in first using glass cleaner as a lubricant. He did not use a cord on the windshield but did on the rear window wrapped around the rubber twice. For the windshield he used a plastic spreader to fit the glass into the rubber grove. The...

Do dual carbs both need a choke?

Very interesting guys. I have an Eldebrock Super 2 carb intake for my 48. Was wondering about the choke and throttle cable hook up. Am I right in assuming the throttle cable also goes to one carb only? For the pedal I intend to order a dual carb linkage rod, 3-1/2" long from Macs if can not buy...

    Door Seal Installation

Have a kit from C&G for my 48. Kit consists of 5 packages. Front seal instructions show it glued to door from top of hinge down. Top seal show it glued to the body. No instructions where included for the back or bottom edges or the little L pieces. I have e-mailed C&G and am waiting for a reply...

    48 quarter windows

Googled Shoebox and could not find quarter window springs. Bought a 2" spring from Home Depot and connected it to the comma with a rod and it seems to work.

    48 quarter windows

Would very much appreciate someone telling me what the springs that keep the window open look like and how stiff are they as mine are missing. I suspect they resemble brake shoe springs but not as stiff.
