    Over charging

If you have the right size cables and good connections a 6 volt battery will spin in over with no problem; I have a 6 volt Optima in my 25 pickup with a Z head. AT first it would barely turn the engine over. I cleaned the frame connection and added star washers on all of the connections and it...

    Ethanol Free 100LL

100 LL is not low in lead content and the lead can precipitate out of the fuel air mixture if the combustion temperature is to low. It is labeled low lead because it is lower in lead content than the old 100 octane that we used to burn in our airplanes. It came about when 80/87 octane was...

$28.00 Hose Clamps: Are They Worth It?

    lifter bores

Off topic a bit but the Model B engine that I rebuilt for my 28 Open Pickup Had really worn lifter bores. Some where I don't remember I found a set of Chrysler lifters that were over size. I used them with the adjustable part of the ford after market lifter. The Chrysler part was to long. I...

Neat Old Photo - Help Us Identify This Model "A" Ford

I have an old craftsman style grand father clock that I can remember ticking in my grand parents house in 1949 when I spent a summer on the farm with them. I was 10 years old at the time. It still sounds the same when I wake up at 2 AM to make my way to the bath room. It is such a primitive...
