Here is the video of Julius' engine...he built his based on my concept, but with his own spin. It's more 'museum quality' than mine. Julius said when Jay Leno approached him, Julius said, "it's not for sale!" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M0OTrFSQA8k

A few years ago I created a cutaway Model A engine that powers itself on one cylinder, with the rest of the engine exposed to show how a running engine works. I called it my "Open Engine". I posted a video on YouTube, and Julius from California discovered it and made his own open engine. We...

Thank you for reposting my video. We are headed to Oshkosh for the National MARC convention at the EAA grounds. I am honored to be an exhibitor with my open engine and to be a part of this year's activities. Unfortunately, I will only be there today (Monday).

I installed a thermostat on mine and she's been cool as a cucumber ever since.

The neat thing is that the car show is contributing $ to my local Model A...

My wife and I went to the old car show in 2010. It was our first time in Dearborn, and we ended up spending 3 days! The first day we toured the Rouge factory in the morning, and then went through the Henry Ford Museum. The following day, we spent the entire day going through Greenfield Village...

Thanks for all the positive feedback! I spent a little more than 100 hours building it. I scrounged up a bunch of parts from MAFCA club members... there's probably parts from about 6 engines in this project! One of my other pastimes is gas engines. I've had stories published in Gas Engine...

Hi All ~ I'm new to this site...looks like a lot of good information! I just completed a project for our local MAFCA reunion, and it was a big hit. One of the other MAFCA members suggested that I post it on this site. Enjoy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qh2LWwZI1LM
