Help identifying heads, clocks, and a KR Wilson Tool

Hi all, as I go through my late fathers collection, I have found a few items I'm looking for some help identifying. I have now found a total of 3 sets of the 81A-6050-B high compression heads, 2 sets are NOS in the box. The other heads I'm not so sure about. Also, curious if the KR Wilson...

    Alu 24 stud heads

Looks like my father had 2 NOS aluminum sets. One are still in the box, the other he installed on his convertible. @Kube, just to clarify, are these the heads that are near impossible to find? Or were you referring to a different set?

Best venue to sell a restored 1940 Ford Convertible?

It's funny how that works. No doubt in 20 years if people still pay attention to these cars, some of what we think is correct today will be found to be incorrect. I remember when my dad put red wheels on the convertible, he thought it was an option, but found out later it was never offered...

Best venue to sell a restored 1940 Ford Convertible?

This was restored by the best (back in the day). Benny was the foremost expert on 1940 Fords. As we understand it, this was actually the first restored car he ever sold. My dad had some very rare 1932 Ford dealership advertisements (huge cardboard pictures of the cars that would hang from the...

Best venue to sell a restored 1940 Ford Convertible?

Prices are incredibly low on BaT for these cars. A 1940 Woody went for $31,500! It must just be the state of the market these days.

Best venue to sell a restored 1940 Ford Convertible?

The problem with that is not knowing where to start at a valuation. I like doing no reserve auctions because it is the true test of what a car is worth, not what I hope or think it's worth. Northern Minnesota.

Best venue to sell a restored 1940 Ford Convertible?

My dad passed away earlier this year and we are now looking to sell some of his collection, likely next spring. The first car we'll be selling is a 1940 Ford Convertible out of the Benny Bootle collection. It was an AACA winner in the 1980's. My dad did a bunch of upgrades to it (Columbia...

50-year collection of 1940 Ford Parts - Lots of NOS

Unfortunately there is simply too much to try and inventory and keep track of. Going to just start listing in the new year.

I think their point was to be weary of low ballers.

50-year collection of 1940 Ford Parts - Lots of NOS

Sorry I can't reply to everyone, but here are my thoughts: 1. My plan is to start with the high value items (NOS grilles, Columbia 2-speed parts, Spotlights/Foglights, etc) and put those on Ebay. As others have said, no doubt there is a lot of dead stock here (I doubt anyone is super...
