Can an earlier long nose camshaft be used in a 59A block in a 1947 Ford? I am aware a spacer must be used for the distributor. Aside from that, does using this cam in the 59A motor create any other issues or differences? Thanks, Ford 1941

Can anyone tell me the proper way to re-install the main bearing cap studs in a 59A block? Should I use anti-seize, Loctite or thread sealant? Are the studs supposed to be tightened to a certain torque? Any other tips? Thanks
