Hello! Does anyone know what cam this is? It’s stamped with a G and that’s all.. I purchased the engine last week and the seller didn’t know much about it, it’s a 59A and it got adjustable lifters and aluminum cam gear so at least someone has done something to it along the way

I would say the stanchions.. The cowl don't look like roadster to me

It is a "B" engine and dist so I can't retard the spark It only knocks at normal speed nothing on idle or accelerating

The reason I pulled the pan was a knock that I tought was a main bearing since it match this troubleshooting guide http://www.foxvalleymarc.com/Tech_section/troubleshooting_engine_noises.html

Pulled the pan tonight and found some babbitt in the oil so I checked the bearings and found this.. How bad is it? Is it over or usable? [/URL][/IMG]

I believe 1948, at least both my -47 fords had crank nuts

the blades was not misshaped until one decided to go south, it must have happened att the same time I put the engine in three days ago and ispected the fan when I mounted the water pump and didn't see any cracks or dents. I will change the belt and fan but first i have to find a new radiator

My 4 blade fan decided to give up this morning.. I revved the car at the carb when it happened, I'm glad it took the radiator and not my head
