'33 pickup front fender question (new project)

Thank you. The one steel fender on it was obviously not a 33/34. Someone fabricated the "raised portion"

    Brake system pressurizing

When I start, I have about half the pedal travel for free play. New return spring last year.

    Brake system pressurizing

A few times now I have taken my '49 F1 for a ride and the brakes were fine out of a cool garage but as things warm up, the brake system pressurizes so much that the brake switch is activated and the brakes drag. I have loosened the brakes twice and it still does it. This is a totally stock setup...

    Halibrand Faux quick change

Man, I wish I could throw the money for that right now. Just starting a new build so it will have to wait. Atleast it's an easy add on later. I'm just going for the look of the quick change gear box on back of th banjo for now I guess. The fake bolt on from speedway looks decent. These are...

    Halibrand Faux quick change

Thanks John, I'm exploring options for that '33 pickup. I have it all blown apart. Still need to disassemble the rearend to see what kind of shape it's in after I borrow a spring spreader and hub puller... 3 speed trans looks good internally. Wondering how everything will hold up to that hot...

    Halibrand Faux quick change

I'm just going for the look. The functional ones are pretty pricey.. I'll check out J's suggestion. Hadn't seen those. Thanks

Anyone know where I might find or the availability of the Halibrand case that uses the stock differential components? Thanks, Chris

'33 pickup front fender question (new project)

Sounds like it from above. If it has a spare tire well, it might be bigger to accommodate the bigger truck tire.

    New '33 pickup build

So we aquired this '33 pickup basket case the other day. The plan for it is to turn it into an almost all Ford traditional Hotrod. It will keep the original '33 front end and the 4:11 Banjo rear for now. may even keep the mechanical brakes. I'm thinking it will end up with no fenders, running...

'33 pickup front fender question (new project)

Aquired a '33 project (basket case) pickup today. Pretty straight old girl. Not alot of rust repair needed. Bottom back of cab is about the worst. Frame is good. Still has metal floor in the body. Would say it had or was going to have a different trans at some point but has a new cross member...

I'd much rather take that one apart and clean it up rather than do weeks/months of rust repair and body work. Wish they had some pics of the under side. Who's bidding???
