Did it run fine when you had your foot of the gas but when you gave it gas the it would start to act up. Also does it make a sound like air going through baffles. It almost sounds like the sound that is made when you blow a horn but all you get is air thought the horn.

Ran my stock 36 for about 2 hours today. It ran great except for the last 20 minutes. The car stated to loss power and buck. It only did this under load. The tempter of the car was fine at 185. I went all I can say is stuff went cheap

My 36 with my grandfathers he got it in 52 it has been in my care since 87

My dad did say it had something to do with the fact the Ford did not want to spend the extra money for additional gears to move the distributor.
