I havw used Pinesol to clean my carbs and fuel pumps and rinced them off in a good cleaning solvent it worked very well

I believe the model A style lifters have a lock nut on them

I beleive the 40-47 truck is the same as the 40 car

Why not use the Model A set up?? They used them in the early sprint cars and ran twice the HP of a flathead V-8

If the motor is not stuck 6 years is not too long I started and ran a 33 ford truck that had not ran for 50 years change the oil belts hoses clean carb and pump and tank go for it sounds good to me

I was born in Humbolt almost next door am in Kamloops now and been in BC for years

Some of the early 32 Model B motors had thecrank without counter weights the later motors until end of production were counter weighted . Some had weights added and others were integeral cast with the crank.

yes i agree 100% an air repirator is the only safe bet

try soaking it in pinesol
