    Cool Running

Vintage Percision housing with 160 thermostat and Berg Radiator. have run 4,000 miles no issues. Warms up quickly in winter maintains 160 deg. Summer even on hot days over 95 deg engine runs between 170 -185 deg. Have not lost a drop of coolant either. Thermostats were perfected and...

    16" Wheels

On the 29 CCPU has 21 like OEM On the 31 Slant 16 s They look great on the slant but distinct advantage on touring vehicle. Better handling less wondering, more tread on road for improved braking and a slightly better ride. Put modern shocks on the Slant which greatly improved handling and...

    Oil pressure

That is the nature of flat heads. I had a 1948 Chris Craft with the K95 six. It was a beast of an engine. Ran great all the years I owned it. Beautiful oil pressure gauge with an 1/8 inch copper line back to the engine 8 ft from the guage. I always worried about the pressure... at best cold...

    Distilled Water?

For those who run water only.... have you tested the water? Run for awhile then get some swimmig pool test strips to test PH you may be surprised what your find! PH should be no higher than 7.8 or less then 6.8 over is too acidic less too alkalyn.

    Title

You will see tons of "Open Titles" which is illegal in most states if not all. Once someone buys a vehicle there is a short grace period then you are required to transfer the title to the new owner. Lots of titles are not legit and do not match the car so the buyer sits on it and passes the...

    High fuel consumption?!?!

Way too many variables to diagnose your MPG Everything from compression issues, bearings, tire pressue to dragging brakes can contribute. Running too rich and fuel quality can have a huge impact on mpg. I get 4 mpg average driving more when I use alcohol free fuel.... Real gas.

    engine rpm at idle

The Puck-Puck idle when full retard sounds cool but thats about it. Normal advance of 1/2 to 3/4 I like an idle 500-600 rpms. It is happy and does not stall on hot days in traffic. Too low heat builds up and can become unstable. Just my own experience with my A

Any 6 Volt coil will do?

There is really no such thing as a 6 volt coil. The coil does not care. Ohms dictates voltage to the ignition Simple rule: The lower the Ohms (resistance) the higher the passthrough voltage to ignition. 1.4 Ohm coil no resitor for a 6 volt system 1.4 Ohm coil with resistor for a 12 volt...

    Unleaded Gas

When the Model A was built the only fuel was "White Gas" There was no lead added nor needed. No lead fuel will cause no issues with our cars. Now Alcohol in our fuel does cause problems especially when most our cars sit more than are driven and the fuel separates and makes a mess of our fuel...

    passenger tires

    Adjusting timing with NuRex

Slight retard works better with HP heads. I use a timing light and set it 2-3 deg ret. That works well with max advance of 26 deg but I only run the level max of 3/4 down. I am using electronic ignition which is very stable curve.

    Not running

I built a small 1 qt aux fuel tank. I disconnect fuel output from fuel sediment bowl. If problem solved it is upstream to fuel tank. If not.... work downstream problem if fuel starvation will be at carb inlet or internal in carb.
