Thanks for confirming my thoughts. Just loosened the mounts and floor jacked the engine up a bit! I was worried because it's a '50 engine in a 51. I know the damper changed from a rubber harmonic balancer to a ferrous metal one, but the pulley size was identical.

Has anyone struggled removing the fan belt on an F1 with the 226? Getting the belt between the crossmember and the pulley on the damper isn't possible. I'm going to loosen the motor mounts and jack up the motor, but I wonder if the donuts on the mounts have flattened out since I put this belt...

I used a Ford Ranger bench seat in my 51 F1 Worked great.
