Recently i had a badly made new oil pump drive gear that would bind and cause the cam to walk fwd then snap back. Also unrelated, new from ‘ antique ford country’ cam plunger that was made 010 too big to fit in the cover boss Just cause its new doesnt mean its any good

B-6028 is what im interested in. I suspect the green book is wrong about application on trucks. From what i can make out from the bb chassis pics in service bulletins, they are not visible

Did 33-34 big trucks utilize the b-6028 steady rods from crossmember to flywheel housing same as cars? Working one that is missing those Thnx

Used them on v8-60 with weber camonce. Gives more duration

Anyone run across a defective gear? Customer engine giving me heartburn from a knock at the timing gears. Confirmed cam was walking Short story long, found uneven wear pattern on the drive gear replaced and cam is no longer smacking timing cover. Have yet to test run.

Dial indicator at the point of one of the pinion nuts .006 is ideal

Ya thats what im asking. It apparently has fallen out. Prob enough windage to push oil back out

Would this missing plug be a culprit ? Everything else looks good. No excessive end play. Gasket changed already. I can watch it run down the cap from the rear.

Will a 10” long clutch and disk work in place of the borg and beck pressure plate ? Ill be using a steel insert alum flywheel drilled for the 10”. Stock merc 3spd od trans Thanks

Ran across this pan with removable lower flywheel section but noted it has no oil breather. Cant figure out its intended use.., i know 32-35 never had a removable rear section or oil filter return. Ideas?
