    Magnetic transmission oil drain plug?

Just a point of interest... I have magnetic plugs in all three locations: engine, ****** and rear end. When I pull the plugs to check/drain oil, I always get some 'dust' on the plugs. Not very much, but a little. I highly recommend them. I think I got them at McMaster-Carr. Dick

    Wheel Puller

I just did the rear brakes on my 30 Cabriolet. I found a KRW puller at a swap meet several years back and it worked fine. I backed the brakes off all the way before using the tool. Dick

Carl's early Ford parts Mar Vista, CA

I remember Carl's. I was going to Santa Monica City College in the early 60's and passed it every day on Lincoln Blvd. The reason I remember is because I was driving my '29 Roadster PU back and forth from Westchester (near LAX) to school and once in a while I needed parts and he was close and...

    Removing fan blade

Maybe now would be a good time to replace the water pump. I had a similar situation when I fixed a blown head gasket. I changed heads to a "Police head", new leakless water pump, and new aluminum fan. Dick

    30 Hood hinge Riveted bracket

Often overlooked is lubricating the hood hinges. This probably caused the problems. When working on our clubs As, we often find dry hinges. A couple drops of oil at each location fixes the problem. No more noisy hinges! Dick

    Waterpump lube?

I have been doing the following for years and never had a problem. . . You know that drop of oil on the dipstick when you check the oil? Put it on the pump shaft at the front and rear of the water pump. I check my oil regularly and do this each time. Give it a try! Dick

Again with 6 to 12 volt inverters

I have this crazy idea. . . I was at Harbor Freight last week and saw 12 volt batteries that are used for scooters or small mobility devices. Cost about $50 or so. They are about 5" X 10" square and 10" high. If a guy mounted one of these in the trunk or under the seat somewhere and hook up his...
