You were dead on about the dry dist. I oiled it up real good. Took a long vacation. Came back and tested it. She's quiet and I can hear that flat head loping as pretty as can be. Thanks again for the accurate advise.

Got back off vacation trip. Oiled the dist again and waited till next morning to fire her up. I've been driving off and on for 3 weeks now and the noise is gone. YAHOOOO. Many thanks guys.
