Thanks for your reply Jim, I'll make some Hardwood blocks at the right height for the eyes to line up. There's a lot of weight up front, it should slide across the axle easy enough. The rear might be a little tricky though. But maybe I'm putting the cart ahead of the Horse. Any thoughts...

The Guys at Sacramento Vintage claim it can be done without using a spreader or adapters. Has anyone accomplished the task under these conditions in their own garage with success? :confused:

Thanks Bob, Is it possible to do the job without the spreader? Some have suggested using a block to set the proper height on one side after putting the pin through the eye on the other side. Attach the bracket at the top of the spring, then slowly let the weight of the car down on the spring...

Thanks Joe! I'll give it a go. Is there an adjustment other than bending the float to get the 1" needed? I had a brand new carb and it leaked internally. The shut off valve at the gas tank leaked a little, but I could not stop the carb from leaking. I traded the carb back to the source for...

Coker ads show Model A Wheels, welded spokes for $365.00 and adjustable spokes for $295.00. My thought is to pay the additional $70 per wheel and go with Henry's design. Does anyone have experience with the adjustable spokes?
