Any idea why there are no trans cover support bolt holes?

Hi all, Wonder if anyone can help. I have a (what I think is) an April 1925 engine. The oil pan is a 4 dipper but there are no bosses on the rear of the motor for the transmission case. The bosses were added feb '25 and new oil pan mid '24 according to sources. Can anybody shed any light on...
