    Swirl glass gearshift knobs

I (Snyder's) own the molds for making the round and mushroom shaped shifter knob and yes, Mosser is who made them for me. There is a 2 piece aluminum insert that has to be glued into the knob after Mosser made the glass portion which we had made as well. Mosser manufactured them for us for well...

    Brass fuel gauge float ?'s

The A-9313-C composition float is the same black closed cell material used in small engine floats today and is not affected by todays fuels. These are a direct replacement for the original cork float. Don't see any sense in reinventing the wheel to retrofit a brass float. We have sold...

Assembly - fan to water pump

You should definitely NOT grind on the I.D. of the aluminum fan. The fan needs that extra material there to properly support the edges of the belt groove. The I.D. of the aluminum fan has to be smaller to adequately support he fan belt groove edges. This is why there is some clearance issues...

    Did I get a defective U-Joint?

None of the current reproduction universal joints on the market are any good. The biggest problem is that the OD is too big and they hit on the housing. This is why we have temporarily discontinued them in our catalog. You're better off finding a good original until they decide to manufacture...

    4 Blackened Spark Plugs?

Make sure you don't have one of the $125.00 mufflers, they have a baffle in them that is way too restrictive and can cause the plugs to soot up quickly. See if your muffler has mandrel bends or regular exhaust tubing bends, that's the easiest way to tell. You need a good muffler with the...

    New Two Blade Fan

Do not grind the ID of the fan as this will weaken the edge of the pulley and can cause the pulley edge to break off and ruin the fan. If the bore of the fan is made bigger, there is not enough support for the pulley. The OD of the water pump snout varies from pump to pump and if the machining...
