Its the type 3 with the 2 long bolts and a single screw holding the field coils. Its on an august 1928 car. Would a type 4 fit if the rebuild takes a bit? Whom would you trust going through it? Rob

The black on is the same as I have on a Aug 28' Roadster pickup. The round bottom channel makes me think that was is original.

Rule of thumb i have heard from my painting buddies is always sand down to p400-p600 before applying base/sealer. Any more than that the paint will not have much to adhere to.

Folks, Just thought id share my rebuild over the winter. I had rust coming through and body work needed, so i went for it. It turned into more than that after rust was found under the frame paint and everything came apart and rebuilt (minus the motor). At least i verified the frame stamp...

It looks like a 28 to me too. Red steering wheel and from the brake handle. I havent seen a right hand drive one though, and it even still has the hole to put in in the left side in the firewall. Its a weird looking generator also and cutout. Looks to have been repainted also... green...
