May of 28 can I still get parts for 1/2 starter ,Bendix ,bushings or change to new high torque starter?

I have a leatherback with original motor ,and in the same family since new ,want to change to 5/8 shaft with newer style Bendix.

Will a later starter motor fit

I have a set-up like this for my 28 4dr ,funnel shaped close to radiator then flexed back under floor, housing over muffler for heat then outlets flexed to front and back seat with units same as yours.

Have a 1928 leatherback built 5/25/28, daughter-inlaws great grand dad bought in 28. Still working on it.

All I want to know is it worth cleaning up and installing ,floor cut in the back seat for vent. Is any one familiar with this unit?

What kind of heater is this?

Would it be safer to change out my 3 piece brake service shaft to the 1 piece ? I was pushing hard on brake pedal and center ball came out, pedal to floor no brakes! It was a ford change over from 3 piece to 1 in 28, what was the reason and what parts + the shaft for change over? Need to pick...

When I got my 28 4dr LB in one of the box of parts was a heater that covers the muffler ,also flex pipe to front and back seat with registers cut in the floor to regulate air flow , who was the manufacture?

tried the cardboard and sanded the comutators from less than 2volt tested with a drill motor up two about 6 where do you get the brushes 5 brush gen

Finally towed the 1928 leatherback out of the hills and into the garage,the front motor mount is direct to the frame. With the A ,was a book about 1928 A only and it said to change the mount to the new unit have to cut frame .What is best go with standard or float mount how about the back mount?

Just got back from looking at my new leatherback ,sat in garage in hills for 40 years .No rust, boxes of old and new parts ,5 new tires and tubes, bad some one of family started to restore.Have to check out type of clutch. I assume clutch is frozen ,engine stuck ,time to start playing.

What do I have to change to put in a regular clutch?

My daughter-in--law is giving me her mom's A and I heard that year had two different clutch types and one is not replaceable.

Do I have to pull the gas tank on 1928 leatherback to clean and seal it?
