    Henry the Ford

Henry, my 55 customline, is headed for a new home, as I found another car that I really want:D. This is a west coast car with no rust. Lots of work and money spent on this cruiser: complete rebuild of the 272, new 30 over rings, bearings, rocker shafts, carb, fuel pump, new aluminum radiator...

    Carb Spacer

Thanks everyone. I do plan to either insulate the fuel lines or replace them with a braided line. My 272 runs fantastic. I just ran into a vapor lock problem the other night when I took my 55 to a local cruise in, and it wouldn’t start when it was time to leave. It was a very hot evening...

    Carb Spacer

Does anyone know where, if anywhere, I can find a 2 bbl carb spacer for the 272 y block in my 55 Ford? Is it possible to make one? I'm looking for one of these to hopefully reduce some vapor locking. Thanks!

My dad had a light blue 60 Ford wagon for a company car when he was a copier service tech for 3M back in the middle 60's. It was a 6, 3 on the tree, and he hated it. He was never much of a Ford guy anyway. I always thought it was cool, and used to sit in the driver's seat and "drive" where...

    Stupid Question About Overdrive Solenoids

I apologize for such a stupid question...how do you tell the difference between a 6 volt solenoid and a 12 volt solenoid? I have 1 of each, and was told that 1 is a 6 volt, and the other a 12 volt. They look identical outside and inside, and they have the same number stamped on the outside...
