looks like a 8 sided one except it is a hex, I was going to take both inner and outer nuts to get re chromed. I got his tank and fuel gauge back in the 60s out of a junk yard. any place to get an original inner nut? thanks

TOM , bottom of axle is about 5/8 inch above the bottom of rad pan in the center. also shocks were installed in april. so no axle is showing.

my tie rod and drag link are straight. I checked clearance this morning and I cannot slide a sheet of paper between. I still think its the spring.

I will replace front spring and any other parts that need it. thanks,mike

thanks wmws shackles are about 3/16 from top of axle. think my spring is done.

any one know what clearance should be between drag link and the top of the tie rod , mine looks like they might be rubbing or close to it. thanks for any help. mike

yes new rubbers and metal guides available, check brattons, snyders, a&l. may have to grind the rubbers to fit right. make sure to clean out female rubber out . all of it.
