PCV VALVE SYSTEM for 8BA with Early Intake Manifold

Decling helped me out on this modification. Thought I'd add a twist as I appreciated his knowledge and Coop's. Running an electric fuel pump on my Flathead Model A. I'm a cheap SOB and couldn't see spending $150 on a shorty Speedway pump stand. The diameter of the Henry stand at the X...

Flathead Guru's...Question on installing the crankshaft sleeve

Thanks, That's the way I installed it. I've rebuilt quite a few motor and it's usually the little things that stump me.

Flathead Guru's...Question on installing the crankshaft sleeve

I kinda agree, Mike Herman built 100's if not thousands of flatheads and putting on a sleeve backwards would be a rookie mistake which is possible but not likely.

Flathead Guru's...Question on installing the crankshaft sleeve

Flathead Guru's...Question on installing the crankshaft sleeve

For the Guru's........which direction do you install this sleeve? I should have paid attention when I removed it. Notice the offset in the spiral. Installing it either direction will pull oil back into the engine. Try'd that. Was going with a one piece seal and didn't like the sloppiness of the...

Silly question: Always replace bearing races when new bearings are installed or no?

Yea, I'd inspect and re-use if there isn't any noticeable wear or corrosion. The price of new bearings add up pretty quick.

1939 Ford rear wheel bearing seal number???

Anyone have the number for a 1939 rear wheel bearing seal? Looking for like a National/Timken number, not the Ford part number. The seal I'm referring to is the one on the drum not the one inside the axle housing. The problem by ordering it by the ford part number, you never know the quality of...

Plugging the fuel pump pushrod without a bushing?

Ron...If I caught my machinist in time I would have had him clock the rear cam bearing. Unfortunetly the rear cam bearing is in as intended. I wondered if the oil coming thru the squirt hole of the bushing was to oil the rear bearing. By clocking the bearing tells me this isn't so. Thanks. -Ron
