I have an F1 steering box in my 32 roadster. The worm gear that is on the steering shaft is pretty worn. I think there is a guy in California that builds a new worm gear and steering shaft and builds the shaft to a custom length. Does anybody have a contact info for them.
Also I am using a...
I have a fuel pressure gauge and and the pressure is at one pound. I drove the car and parked it in the garage. My wife says why does it smell so bad. I think I will change the fuel inlet valves. Any opinions as to who make the best
I am running two 97's one 281 cu inch engine in my 32 roadster. Lately the smell of gas is really bad. I have an electric pump mounted just in front of the gas tank. I have an Offenhauser fuel pressure reducer on the firewall.
I have been told by more than a few that my fuel pressure...
Have an electric fuel pump at the tank and a pressure regulator. With pressure gauge at fuel block. I will check the pressure more closely and get new gaskets.
I drive an open 32 roadster with no hood. Recently while driving you get an obvious gasoline smell. I have only used non ethanol gasoline. Is this an adjustment issue. I have two Stromberg 97 rebuilt by Max several years ago. And my wife has complained about a smelly garadge.
I bought this https://www.eastwood.com/powerbuilt-automotive-vacuum-pressure-testing-and-bleed-kit-648532.html
On 1948 type brake system. With vacuum you can suck fluid from the master cylinder and out the brake cylinder. On pressure it will not go the other way. I thought you could do this.
Well I just installed shoes from O Reillys auto. 39.99. They looked fine but when installed only one lined up with the brake cylinder piston. Two I could live with and one barely touched the piston. So I am going to return these and go another route. Probably third gen
Been a while and want to get it correct. On front brakes the large piston on the brake cylinder is supposed to aim forward. Also the shoe with full lining is also forward. Right?
I need new front shoes on my 32 highboy. I run 46 to 48 hydraulic brakes.
These ones seam the most reasonable. Wonder what the quality is. I am sure from China...
As title says the pully came off the generator shaft. Radiator destroyed. Evidently the nut backed off. When the fan hit the radiator the pully cracked on the generator side. Well I have a replacement pully and recored the radiator.
I think a locknut would be in order. Not sure weather to...
Of all my cars, this is the one I wish I still had. Taken in 1976
Here are two Model S downdrafts on my Model B engine with a Cook 4 port head
And Jackson Kong, Ed Winfield, and me Tim Avery checking out Kong's one off front drive ignition
I have a generator and fan assembly that I do not know what it is off off. I think it a good idea to identify it before I put it up for sale. The pully is 3 3/4 inch diameter. All the others I have are just over 4 1/4. Could it be off of a 60HP engine?
Oh the fan is like most others I have
