I came across this dual cab Fenton intake this AM at the Buena Park, CA swap meet. It looks like a rough casting. Notice the mounting holes were never drilled or tapped yet the bottom was surfaced at some point. I’m trying to determine whether Fenton sold these unfinished or if this one left...

I went through this recently on my '34 sedan and found it as mentioned above on the frame rail in the first location. I was also fortunate to learn later about a matching on the transmission right above the inspection plate. Not sure how many still match this many years later. Sharing some pics.

Here are some close-ups from the mock-up. I’ve since changed out the hardware, but this is the stack I ended up with. I made a 1" × 3" round steel spacer and beveled the bottom so it nests into the crossmember. On top of that I used the standard motor mount, then added fender washers and a...

The belt just slips by but is very tight. I may swap to a model A saddle at some point without the hoop if I can find one.

I just finished this swap on my ’34 Sedan. I made a few posts a while back and got a lot of help from the forum on this. I kept the original front crossmember hoop, which ended up being the biggest constraint. I wanted to retain it and still be able to turn the crank through the hoop, so...

Re: 10" clutch disc fitment – 1-3/8" 10-spline Quick update: I ended up tracking down a clean 48-series transmission case and swapped my original ’34 18-series gears into it. The gears dropped in without any problems, and the 48 case gives the extra bellhousing clearance needed for a 10"...

I had the same thing happen. He responded to my wanted ad and after a couple back and forth emails it was clear it was a scam. If you look at his first 10 posts it was an account created to just be able to message other members. The domain also came back as a bogus web site.

Re: 10" clutch disc fitment – 1-3/8" 10-spline I had not connected that dot on the serial number on the case pad. Turns out that the SN on my case actually matches the SN on my frame. Well, they will have to stay together now.

I’m putting together an engine with a 59 block from parts and have what looks like the “soup can” style oil pump. From what I can tell, it probably came off the 1934 engine that was originally in the car. It's in good shape and was thinking of using it. The oil pan I have doesn’t seem to...

Re: 10" clutch disc fitment – 1-3/8" 10-spline In regards to my initial post here, I ended up finding a Series 48 case and swapped in my Series 18 gears. They went in without any issues. The transmission is ready to bolt in and, as mentioned earlier in the thread, it looks like it will clear...

Re: Pulley Question – 59 Block with Short Nose Crank in ’34 Sedan I appreciatee all the feedback and additional pointers to the engine thread, have some work to do :). Will share outcomes when I am done.

Re: Pulley Question – 59 Block with Short Nose Crank in ’34 Sedan Thanks, appreciate the pic as well it shows how you mounted the engine and mine will likely need to match a similarr height when I get to that. I considered altering the single pulley I have to make it fit. It sounds like you...

Looking for a pair of running boards for a 1934 Ford Sedan. Please PM me.

Pulley Question – 59 Block with Short Nose Crank in ’34 Sedan I’m trying to piece together some engine history and need guidance on the correct crankshaft pulley for my setup. This is a 1934 Ford Sedan that’s been in the family for decades. Based on family history and what I can recall from...

Yesterday I dry-fit the timing cover to see how the crab distributor would line up. I went in thinking this 59 block would have a long-snout camshaft and that I’d need a spacer for the distributor, but as soon as it seated I found it’s actually running a short-snout cam and different from what I...

Summary Testing examples to show the same image at different sizes in forum posts. Resize an image, just add `&width=###` to the end of the image URL. Replace the ### with any number of pixels you want (100, 200, 400, 600, 800, 1200, etc.). - The first example shows the full-size...

Re: 10" clutch disc fitment – 1-3/8" 10-spline I have the transmission internals out now, but the flywheel is mocked up in place and the pan is dropped. I could relatively easily bolt up the pressure plate and clutch and mock up the transmission minus the input shaft to see if there’s any...

Re: 10" clutch disc fitment – 1-3/8" 10-spline Came down to parts availability when I was looking and I got my hands on a new flywheel that only accepted a 10" clutch at a really good price. Would have preferred the 9" but already went down this path.

Re: 10" clutch disc fitment – 1-3/8" 10-spline Will check that out, thanks.

Re: 10" clutch disc fitment – 1-3/8" 10-spline Makes sense, thanks.
