New Brunswick, Canada, has lots of covered bridges. http://64.118.87.14/~nblight/bridges/index.html I don't have a website for abandoned barns, but there are plenty of them as well.

Well said Phil.

Hi Jim, My Sport Coupe would not start when getting the car out of storage a couple of years ago. It took me a few attempts to notice the distributor was not rotating, "after the 3rd time checking I thought it was very odd, that the rotor cap stopped in exactly the same position each...

My 28 Sport Coupe has WW's, the 30 Town Sedan has blackwalls. I'm 42 and enjoy the looks of each equally.:)

Hi Woods, I wouldn't worry about doing your entire trip without changing the engine oil. Your only concern needs to be to keep a regular check on it to see how much if any it is going down. Ensure you have a couple of extra litres (oops quarts) with you and enjoy your trip. My experience is...

As a good friend of my says, " the only thing old on some of those rods, is the shadow they cast".

Hi Brent, Quite the tasteless reply. Forrest Gump said it best, " and that's all I have to say about that !". Take care, Rob

Re: An overheating question Hi Ray, a properly flowing radiator will drain within 3 seconds. Disconnect the hoses, seal off inlet and outlet of rad. Whatever you use on the outlet should be easily removed. Fill rad with water, dump it and if you get to the "one thousand three" count, you rad...

Yes that is the area where there would normally be babbit.

Hi Marty, We have used a charcoal bar-b-que to heat up old shocks. Drain whatever you can get out of them. Wrap in a few layers of tin foil. Several hours on the grill, dip in cool water, and they will come apart.

Mac's wouldn't have did a thing, I know that for sure. I ordered a couple of brass bushings for a starter and a "free catalog". The put the "free catalog" in the huge box, it got cubed and weighed, was sent UPS besides, shipping was $50, then I got a bill in the mail from UPS for brokerage...

Hi Bob, We have mounted a couple of buffing pads side by side on our bench style grinder, to give as wide a surface as possible, then with the wheel spinning apply just a bit of jewelers rouge polishing compound. Don't use too much pressure on the piece.

Hi tudor, you might have some luck with a 1" fitting brush normally used for copper fittings. I usually have one of those and sometimes a 3/4" one, in the box. The 3/4" size works really nice on battery cable ends and posts.

I have used just a small piece of folded writing paper on one side of pump where it fits into the block. There is a bolt you can gently thread into the side of the block that will accomplish the same.

I used a few layers of styrofoam plates and bowls under the spokes when I pressed my spokes back into place. The wife could only use them a couple of times after I was done with them. :D

I'm from Nova Scotia. I looked around a couple of summers ago and found the suppliers I spoke with didn't stock tires. Tires seem to just shipped directly from the factory. Shipping will be nearly as much as the tires, by the time you get the brokerage bill in the mail several weeks after...

Hi Red, i agree wtih the installation instructions for a Model T mufflerthat you provided. I guess I was not clear, I was referring to the baffles coming loose, or becoming misaligned within the muffler. I have found this to be a problem I have encountered, and it causes the exhaust to run...

Hi Adam, running a little hot on the exhaust could also be caused by the muffler coming a bit loose and not creating enough back pressure, which in effect leans out the engine. As for the radiator, I would guess it needs a good flushing. Good luck, Rob

Hi, I had the same issue with my car the other summer. The problem I found was just a weak ground connection. Remove the rear floor board so you have some room to work. Buy or make up a cheap ground strap and connect one end to the ground post of the battery clamp bolt and the other to a...

I use a 2 post lift for my A's, had to make adaptors for the arms to add height to the lifting pads to compensate for the running boards. I position the front door post in line with the hoist post then the front lift arms grab the frame just ahead of the motor mounts, just clearing the exhaust...
