i have a 1930 a model pick up numbers #3 and #4 plugs show that they are to rich points are new ,plugs are new carb. is new could it be that tghe float is set to high run bad at driving speeds have to retard spark advance to get to run like its not loading up any thoughts on but to check thanks.

thanks Pat in Santa Cruz I do have a digital heat gun and planned to switch the head over to the old one if it fits looks better then new one the base of old one was broke and would not seal .

no not restored i have had it for about a month have driven it about 50 miles did went boil over at first then had radi, worked on drove it a little and flushed system again did put a new leakless water pump on it to while radi. was out put a new autometer on it to old one did not seal and water...

I needed to know how warm should it get just idling . I have had the radi. taken apart and cleaned ,flushed the engine and replaced the hoses it seams to be getting good and warm what should i look for to help keep it cool.
