Does Marvel mystery oil work as a fuel stabilizer?

I put 3 ounces in at every fill up! Also did this for years with my '50 Buick. Works like a charm! Got the advice from on old Buick mechanic

    Cold start help

So I went out this morning 30 degrees and followed all the tips suggested; GAV at 6:00, flick of the wrist on the choke and it took four tries of it cranking and not starting before it finally went. I’m wondering if it’s because when I shut the car off I let it run totally out of gas? I was told...

    What model Battery Tender?

Perhaps I misstated and apologize for doing so. As you can see from the attached pics I have a true positive ground system and I was able to get the charger working correctly connecting to the head bolt and starter apparently I just didn’t have a good connection on the head bolt.

    What model Battery Tender?

I have a positive ground with an alternator. Red to the head bolt, black to the starter wire and it shows reverse but when I go directly to battery red to negative and black to positive it shows fine. Not a big deal, but was thinking it would be easier to connect it the way Paul shows in the...

    What model Battery Tender?

I ended up purchasing a Tornado 4000 last year and it worked great! One thing I noticed, I saw Paul Shinn do a video where he connects the red clamp to the head bolt and the black clamp to the starter wire. When I tried it, I got a red light saying the polarity was reversed. However, when I...

    Cold start help

My apologies, I mistyped. 12 o'clock being closed, I turn it counterclockwise to the 2 o'clock position and then clockwise as the engine warms up.

    Cold start help

Good information. I normally turn my GAV to the 2 o'clock position when starting and then back it off once the engine starts and is warming up. I will definitely try the quicker choke method you mention! Thanks for the advice and it's always great to get information from more experienced...

    Cold start help

My 1930 coupe doesn’t like to star when it’s cold. Was headed out to a car show Sunday, and went to start her at 9:00 with the temperature of 28 degrees. I start her using the correct starting method. She cranks and fires up once then stalls. Try her again same thing. Try her again and she just...

    Shock question

Gave him a call! Nice guy! Said I could get the American made shocks all the hardware and everything I need for $1300. The Rotoshims are $200 more per shock. He said the American made new ones are all C&C machined and very good shocks.

    Shock question

Paul is just a "regular guy" but he's the Model A Master IMHO! Super nice guy to meet and spend time with. He was gracious, knowledgeable and had a line of people waiting to get his advice. It was so cool to stand around and shoot the breeze with Model A folks! Paul is the tops fellas!

    Shock question

Paul, it was great to finally meet in person at Hershey! Your contribution to the Model A community if invaluable! I checked out the video and am awaiting an email from Sammy at the Arizona A's. One thing for sure, if I decide to move forward your video is very comprehensive and it looks like a...

    Shock question

My only comparison is my '30 Model A pickup which came with no shocks, I subsequently put Bill Stipe shocks on. But the pickup was a much different ride than the coupe. I think the coupe rides fine and am wondering if the ride would significantly improve with the rotoshims?
