    Oil Pan for 8BA Block

I have a 1932 Ford Phaeton with a 8BA engine and the Ford center sump oil pan. I was thinking about changing it to the Mercury rear sump pan. My question is about the depth of the two pans. Will the ground clearance increase by changing to the Mercury pan vs the Ford center sump pan?

    Harman Collins distributor

You might try Tom Cirello at Cirello Magneto's as he was rebuilding the Harmon-Collins Magnetos for the early flatheads. There might be some parts that interchange between the Mag's and the Dual Coil distributor. He has rebuilt three of the H-C mag's for me over the years with excellent...

    37 ****** replacement

If you are using a 39 transmission in a 37 model car the clutch arm will have to be changed to a 37 model also. In early Fords the clutch arm must be the same year as the model year of the chassis.

    1940 Ford Drag Link Adjustment

Thanks to all. However I was asking about the orientation of the drag link. Does the adjustment go to the spindle or the pitman arm. The reason I am asking is that I have seen the adjustment located on the pitman arm as well as the spindle in the past.

    1940 Ford Drag Link Adjustment

I have a 1940 Deluxe coupe and am getting ready to check the toe in. I notice that the drag link has the adjustment at the pitman arm rather than at the right spindle. It also has a slight bend in it rather than being straight. Where there two styles of drag links, one with the bend and one...

Rethreading Spark Plug holes in Aluminum Heads

Thanks everyone for your replies. The heads are installed on this engine (276 CI) and it is in a 1940 coupe. I am hoping to do the repair (# 2 cylinder) without removing the heads from the engine. I am using Autolite #216 plugs having a .437 thread reach. Should I use the 3/8" or 7/16"...
