I've just tested the armature for shorts and if good I replaced the bushings and brushes. Works every time.

There is a kit available to adapt a S10 4X4 T5 to your torque tube so you could use your stock rear. Can't remember who was doing it but it was covered on the Hamb a couple of years ago and I've saw one car with it installed. A little searching on that site could turn up the info. Paul

Just stating what I did with mine. I must admit I did use a skim coat of filler.

I used a porta power and pushed mine out. It isn't that deep, easier than cutting and welding.

I used what I had.

I took a bolt with right thread pitch and carefully drilled and tapped it to fit the shift lever.

No automatic starters mount different. Could the one with the wider aluminum be a new reproduction?

I suppose posting it here would okay. The tires are Dean Alpha p 205 75r 15 front and Goodyear p225 75r 15 rear.

All this sounds like gloom and doom. I'm hoping for better luck. I put my 41 pickup up for sale on the HAMB and Craigslist last week. Lots of trade offers, but with not enough cash. I consider it a hot rod so I didn't list it here.
