Is there a better swage tool?

Thanks Don! I ordered another tool and took it to the same shop. If they can’t do it still, I’ll message you. Appreciate the offer!

    Removing Bondo.

I've used a silicon carbide disc on my grinder. I LOVE these things. Like this one: https://www.lowes.com/pd/Gator-Power-Sanding-Silicon-Carbide-4-5-in-60-Grit-Paint-Stripping-Disc/1000346965

Is there a better swage tool?

I took my left reaf hub and drum to a shop to have them swage in some new wheel studs. They got one stud done and then the tool cracked in two places during the second one. I got the $8 "stud installation tool" from a vendor, Snyders I believe. Is there a better tool out there? I'm also...

    Wobbly rear axle

I packed that rear bearing full of grease today and bolted it on. Put 100lb on the nut. No wobble at all! Guess it just needed tightened. I still need to get the lugs sorted but I’m glad the rest is all good. Thanks to everyone for the input!!

    Wobbly rear axle

Sounds like the front ones are tightened like modern day cars. I can handle that.

Is the torque on the front hub also supposed to be 100 ft-lb?

    Wobbly rear axle

I think you’re on to something. The drum and hub came off very easily indeed. Had to put a puller on but it came off with just one turn by hand. Didn’t even put a wrench on it. Im going to put it back together and put 100ft-lb on it. Hopefully that will do it!

    Wobbly rear axle

I’m in Savannah. I’m going to put the hub and drum back on and see if it wobbles still. Sounds like that will tell me about he bearing. Thanks so much to everyone for the help! Truly appreciate this site. Gareth

    Wobbly rear axle

I think there is a club in the Savannah area. I also don’t have a press big enough to swage the studs.

    Wobbly rear axle

Alright gang, I was replacing my tires and when I had the left rear wheel off, I discovered the axle wobbles up/down left/right. It does not move in/out. Is there a bearing at the end of the axle housing? How far apart do I need to disassemble this thing? I really don’t want to rebuild the...

    Operating Temp for an 'A'

I run a two blade fan and my temp never gets above 180, in Georgia sun. Before I replaced the water pump, it would overheat. I always shut it down and let it cool if it exceeded 225, but I don't know if that's a safe redline or not and I never let it run continuous at that temp. It didn't...

    What's up with this bowl???

Thanks everyone for the help! I did as Deron suggested and pulled the line at the carb. I got a very good flow so I knew the problem wasn't upstream of that. I blew a little air into inlet of the carb to loosen the float valve. Hooked up the fuel line and opened the fuel valve. I could hear the...
