Definitely oxy/acetylene to heat rivets cherry red, on the parts to be assembled. Use two people - one to work the torch, one to mushroom the rivet. Do it in two steps instead of all at once for a more controlled process.

I have been stung more than once by bees and wasps. Worst time was when I was using a cutting torch and the wasps came out from the other side of the panel. I always keep a can of bee spray handy now.

We were going to town but the rear wheels wouldn't get us up the hill to the hard top. So we had to sit on the rims and drink our own beer instead! :-)

Pulled the old girl out yesterday and took her for a stroll. Ran clean, smooth, went threw the gears with ease. Proud moment. No tires on her so we didn't go far. 4 times out without a hitch. Just share'n!

It's necessary to have a riveting "buddy" and good clamps. Order extra rivets and practice two or three times on "junk" metal first. It's all about the heat and a good buck'n block as well as a good gun. Not for the faint of heart.
