Me either. North of the USA border!

Squirmed under the dash and removed the wiper motor this week. Lubricated everything with ATF. Plugged the vacuum hose back on and started her up. What a differance. Even sourced two neoprene grommets and two spring steel retainer clips locally! Not an easy job for an 81 yr old with failing...

So, I notice that the 40 Dlx wagon has disappeared from the Copart website. What do you suppose happened here? I was following the listing wondering what the sold price might be...Bill.

The control knob is increasing hard to turn on and off. I don't want to take the wiper motor unit down for close inspection because of the difficulty working under the dash for an 81 year old. Youtube shows disconnecting the vacuum hose under the hood and partly filling a small container with...

Going to miss his presence on the Barn. RIP Lawsen. I think it was him who said "Don't forget to buy a fifth on the third for the Fourth!" Never knew what pearl of wisdom wood appear on his posts! Bill.

I met this man at his shop in N S about five years ago. The sprint was originally powered by Riley of Britain. Late 40s was repowered with the Ardun. Raced at Orange Grove in New Jersey in the early fifties. The owner passed away about a year ago. He owned the car for about 20 years. The...

Is there still a functioning V8 Club Regional group in the Sarasota Punta Gorda area? The fellow who just acquired the 40 from his dad might want to contact the group with his concerns re sorting out the issues with his new gem. Between the Barn and the group we may be able to bring him into...

If you recall Kube, I contacted you a year ago about the history of this car as it was restored about 50 miles away from where you live. Surprisingly you were not familiar with this 40. At first I thought it was the one you restored about 7/8 years ago. It was the same color. My good friend...

Same here up in Canada. The wife's tablet worked OK. I'm still getting by on Windows 8.1. Thought that might have something to do with it. Just noticed it was back online half an hour ago. Amazing how your computer can be overtaken beyond yer control. I was about to go ito Fordbarn withdrawel!...B.

What a terrific video! My attention span is usually to the five minute mark. Watched this to the end and felt I was along for the ride! Even the background music was bang on. Thanks for posting...Bill.

If you do decide to drill out the studs and replace them with 1/4" bolts carriage or otherwise you can hide the holes quite well with "windshield kit" or dumdum as I used to call it. It bonds like sh*t to a blanket and has a dull lustre similar to you present stone guards. Did this on my wagon...

Don't know who but there is a v striking resemblance to Dick Tracy. There must be a two way radio wristwatch hidden in that moment in time! Bill.

Just WOW! You even captured the overflow drip from the rad. See the wet spot by the left front inner wheel! I'm v impressed! Bill.

I managed to bring up the auction results but am unable to attach a link to Fordbarn showing the winning bid for each unit. I'm thinking the prices paid were on the low side but the market speaks....Some tekkie will be able to post these results and chew gum at the same time.....Thanks in...

A budding flathead rebuilder in Ma. was asking about what ever happened to Walt's fathead rebulding equipment. I don't remember that subject ever being covered on the Barn. Some of the regulars here may have some insight. He was a wealth of info for us and it was sad to see him fade away...Bill.

OMG Ron Did I just see you on ABC TV Boston? In the lineup to run the Marathon? GIVER Ron! Best wishes for a milestone Birthday!

Thanks Mike hope to trackdown one pod this weekend...Bill

Question, are the headlamp buckets L/R the same? Are the "pods" that hold the sealedbeams against the bucket the same L/R? I'm talking about the pod that holds the headlamp adjusters to be clear.1940 Ford DLX.
