    38 Ford turn signals

I don´t know about the laws in your location, but you could use your rear brake lamps to do the job, using an old switch ( Guide, and others ),that was added to the steering column back in the days. For the front the reflectors can be drilled to add an extra orange bulb, barely visibles with the...

    Banjo Steering Wheel Question

Hi, just fixed mine today. It´s a 39, each spacer have the three round dents and the two outer and center spokes have a V shape dent too. Drilled a 1,5 mm diameter ( sorry, i´m metric ) hole to each spacer dent aligned with the spokes ones and drived pins press fit to each. If your spokes...

    Macs - Ecklers , delays ?

I`ve placed orders to Mac`s two times, the first one in 2016 shipped to an hotel in New York( I was there to receive the parts) , and the second shipped to Argentina, and it took 10 days since the order to the arrival, never used the phone, just e-mails, and everything turns out OK, so no...

Another myth put out to pasture

This is getting interesting, so...what about the storage of an engine block? If gravity can distort a crankshaft, can I think that a block in vertical position could suffer the same effect?

Filter or not to filter that is the question

Hi, a question for 19Fordy; is that carb a holley 2300? I have one installed in my coupe, with a 239 ci. I barely started it a few times ( is still unfinished ) and I´ll glad to know what metering body and jets you have. Thanks in advance, Ricardo.

Profound Thank you to everyone who has helped me get my car on the road

Hey, akivaus, have you ever talked to your wife for a while in a mall and suddenly noticed that she's not there anymore, and the person next to you is staring at you funny?. Well, it seems that happened again. ( just kidding, sorry ). Jeff, great car and great story

My flathead leaks oil gas and water, has no compression and I'm pleased

Except for the compression issue, mine leaks oil, water and gas, without cutaways!

    Some classics from way south

Not Fords, but so beautiful that they deserves to be posted. The lines of late 20´s and 30´s just can´t be beaten.

    Some classics from way south

These are just a few of the beautiful classics cars (Early V8 Ford in this pics, I don´t want to be off topic) displayed at Autoclasica 2013, a great annual expo at Buenos Aires, with several rare machines hardly seen, at least in other countries around here

    Coupe seat mounting holes

Hi, can anybody tell me the exact location of the holes in the floor for the seat tracks in a ´39 coupe std ? . Mine came without the seat ( I´m trying to find one) and the floor is new, really well hand made but have not holes in it. A good guide can be the line between B pillars, distance...

recommendation on a tachometer on 1936 ford flathead

HI, IMP/REV is the number of pulses ( sparks ) in just 1 rpm of the engine , so the tach "knows" how many cylinders is dealing with for the measuring. In other words is what you modify with the switch 4 (2 IMP/REV),6 (3 IMP/REV),8 (4 IMP/REV), and so, always talking about 4 cycles engines. Hope...

    Electrical

Yes, I wish, but since 1982 I owned just Harleys (1948 74 ci flathead, 1948 74 ci panhead, both sold and still with me 1947 74 ci flathead and 1992 80 ci FXR) Add the 39 coupe build and that is enough entertaiment for now ( If I want to keep my wife too).
