Has anyone found an easy/good way to connect a new headlight inner ring to the headlight housing without spot welding? Is it possible to solder them on? Maybe a better question is.... does anyone know where to get the the inner rings? Or is there another solution to the ring?

Is the grooved circular piece on the end of the regulator arm that contacts the metal glass channel supposed to be free and turn like a bearing? All of mine are frozen in place (maybe stamped that way when manufactured?). I don't know if it's supposed to be like that and slide along the metal...
