    Columbia rear. How to engage.

I believe most parts vendors have copies of the owners manual for the Columbia. It will give you all the info you need to know about shifting the unit and servicing it. It would also be good to contact John Connelly in Arizona. He sells Columbia parts and is one of the experts on Columbia rear...

That is a well worn piece! Your photo in post #2 looks like those are reproduction ones. It looks like you will have to drill the hole for the door handle pin.

    1939 seat track anchor brackets

Mike thanks for the photo. Looks like there was a change somewhere during the '39 year. With Ford parts (even today) there are changes on the same year model. I call my Explorer the "recall special"! It appears that the seat can only be adjusted forward or back with the bolt holes in the...

    1939 seat track anchor brackets

Interesting question. I just checked my '39 coupe and it has brackets bolted to the floor and then the seat is bolted to the brackets. Pretty sure my seat is an original '39. On page 3-25 of the V-8 Club's 38-39 book it talks about seat brackets and adjustment holes in the brackets and...

A real good guy. He bought a nice original 33 Ford four door from me a long time ago. He bought parts from me and also sold me some parts. RIP Elmer and condolences to his family.

Mating a Torgue Tube To A Rear End

I would loosen the wishbone bolts at each end where it bolts up to the torque tube and rear end and see if that helps.

Front Mono Spring on a '34 5W Coupe?

You are correct about the breaking. One of our club members had one in his '39 and it broke. It cured me from wanting one.

    1936 Ford flathead advice needed..Part 2

If it were me, I would go through the transmission from stem to stern and clean out the case and replace any gears or bearings that look questionable. A lot easier to make the repairs while it is out.

    Really????

As others have stated, Sell what you have and go shopping. Figure out what you want in body style and go from there. Lots of nice cars out there at bargain prices. You can buy a car that is ready to drive. Once you buy a car that needs a lot of attention it may be a long time before you can...

    September/October 2026 V8 Times

Yep, that's Doug Clem's B-400 in front of the Empress Hotel in Victoria, Canada. He drives that car everywhere. There are thousands of miles on that 32 along with the Mullins trailer that he pulls with it. Glad he made the cover of the V-8 Times.

Ryan thank you for keeping the Barn the way it should be run. I think we have no idea how many hours you spend fixing problems such as the latest ad issue and the censoring problem.
